Boot loader via SD Card?

Post by Interactive_Matter »

Has anybody implemented (or at least think of) an XMOS boot loader from SD card?
Would be great since it makes firmware updates much easier.

Hi Marcus,

This is correct - the XDK has an SD bootloader in FLASH. It loads XDK.XB from the SD card and executes it.

The XB file is a stripped XE file (xobjdump --strip input.xe) with the ELF content in binary ready for execution.

Regards,

Ok,
looked there, did not find it. Can someone give me the right link. It seems I am a tad too dumb to download the software ;)

Thanks

I assume you get it when you buy one :).

You might want to take a look at:
https://www.xcore.com/projects/xs1-l2-custom-loader
https://www.xcore.com/projects/mox-os-m ... ing-system

but neither is in a ready to use state for your requirements i believe.
