Hi
Some of you have build HW that uses small WLAN modules. Some with integrated UDP,TCP/IP, DHCP stack.
The robot and the iPhone is one application. I would like to have a list here of different modules.

Someone with higher power, and higher speed ?

I haven't used them, but my impression is that the Lantronix Matchport series can run server applications as well, and at fairly high serial data rates. I think Surveyor Robotics uses them to pass stereoscopic video.Bianco wrote:I have positive experience with lantronix devices:

Hmm, I took apart my 3in1 SMC WEBT-G EU EZ Connect™ g
2.4GHz 108 Mbps Wireless Ethernet Bridge
(It can be a repeater or an access point as well)
Inside was a nice small PCB that eats 5V with 2 antenna connectors. On is a "butterfly" antenna, the other one ends up in the standard antenna connector.
I'm very tempted to place the thing inside my XDK, and just drill an extra hole for the external antenna.
Time to study the schematics!
( I also have a rectangular ~12V 8Ah Li-Po battery! )
