So here is a preview of a idea i been working on. A logic analyzer using a xmos chip.Well acually the GUI is going to be designed to work with any other platform over a simple enumeration process to determine the device capability.
This mainly shows the GUI of the software.Colors are completely changeable and the window is freely sizable, also are the channels nameable and the trigger selection works. Scrolling works by dragging and zoom works with the mouse wheel. The minimap shows quick image of the entire signal in memory and can be used to scroll too.
Its still very crude at the moment but a lot more functionality is planned like saving, comm decode, terminals etc..

I think a tools group would be a good idea if your starting a group, it could cover :
Logic analyser 8-)
Oscilloscope
Signal generator
Frequency analyser
etc...
This Logic analyser is defo worth putting up a project for, would love to get it running on my XC2..

I am actually developing it on a XC-2, but its planned to use only 1 core so it can run on a XK-1 too.
Oh and btw its planned to be all of those tools in the future.(In plan is a analog front end that could connect on instead of the logic probes)
Project is now up http://www.xcore.com/projects/xlogic-logic-analyser

Nice :)
Are you aware of the following project:
http://www.xmoslinkers.org/node/284
Maybe there is some code there you can reuse?

Nice looking screens. I'm looking forward to seeing the hardware posted.
If you looking to add an analog front end to make a DSO check the following web pages for ideas etc. :
Netscope, which has already been mentioned running on a Xmos XDK
Bitscope (public domain)
PropScope (Creative Commons Attribute)

I saw some of those yeah. the xmos scope also has a video about it.
But for now its going to be just a logic analyzer, those stuff come later
