Another 2^5 + 2^2 users and we will hit the 2^9 mark! Huzzah! We should celebrate this when this happens and get everyone to log in on IRC or something to get everyone together. In fact for a bit of fun, when we do hit this number and get everyone on IRC, the person who joins the IRC channel and is the highest power of 2 will win something. Eg if there are 8 users, person number 8 would win unless we later got 16 users in which point 16th user would win etc etc. Who is in?
PS Anyone else like to express 512 using some geeky ways? :-)

251 (a permutation of 512) is the first of a set of 4 consecutive primes that are spaced an equal distance apart: 251, 257, 263, and 269 are all prime, there are no primes in between, and the spacing between them is 6. 251 is the lowest number with this property; the next is 1741. :D

I noticed tho that xmos is very fond of the number 512. You can win a XK-1 at 512 points, 512 users celebration, XMP-64 runs 512 threads...

The Vesuvius eruptions of 512AD were so severe that those inhabiting the slopes of Vesuvius were granted exemption from taxes by Theodoric the Great, the Gothic king of Italy. (Note this wasn't it's worse and infamous eruption of 79AD, terminating Pompeii)
Maybe Xmos can have a Tax free offer day on their products and kits to mark the 512 member celebrations?
