I downloaded the xTimeComposer software and installed in D:\uP\XMOS\bin. Installtion proceeed with no errors.
I click on the Icon to bring up Eclipse(?), but nothing happens, and there are no error messages.
I saw that the icon linked to a batch file, inside which was a check for Java. If I execute "java -version" I get:-
java version "1.7.0_17"
Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.7.0_17-b02)
Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM (build 23.7-b01, mixed mode)
If I go into xtimecomposer_bin and click on the Eclipse(?) icon, nothing happens.
I tried opening a DOS shell and going into the bin directory. The tools at least run but give errors and warnings due to me adding no parameters. If I execute xmosupdate I get the message "error: java version could not be determined".
I have no idea what else to try or how to fix this.
Please help!!!!!

Can you try updating the java version of your machine and see if this fixes your issue.

On Windows a 32bit JRE is required, as noted on the download page
