Simplifying clock circuitry for L2 chip question
Hi everyone, i was wondering if it is possible to use this chip(http://www.digikey.ca/product-detail/en ... -ND/332642) for the main clock on an L2 because the circuitry used in the motor control board based on the L2 seems a bit complicated...

EDIT: I've noticed on some custom board designs the use of a similar oscillator chip but on different xmos chip but i suppose it sould work on the L2... I would like to confirm this assumption...narutoxela wrote:Hi everyone, i was wondering if it is possible to use this chip(http://www.digikey.ca/product-detail/en ... -ND/332642) for the main clock on an L2 because the circuitry used in the motor control board based on the L2 seems a bit complicated...

Sure will work, I only use SMD crystal oscillators in my designs.
The only downside is that it is often more expensive than a crystal with inverter chip to make it an oscillator, what i suppose is used on the motor board.
