Chat via IRC
We have also set up an XCore IRC channel which you can join at:
Server: irc.efnet.org
Channel name: #XCore
For anyone who has not heard of IRC before check out this page, or quite simply it allows you to chat in real time with others.
If you do not want to download an IRC client, you can use web based ones such as the one by EFnet here - enter our channel name in the drop down, choose a username and hit login!
Our friendly XCoreBot is also known to frequent the IRC Channel from time to time, so do chat to him as he loves to interact with our users.
I am sure many of you have LinkedIn profiles too, so if you would like to keep in touch, or participate in discussions from there feel free to join our official LinkedIn group!
YouTube
Oh we are on YouTube too. Subscribe for our latest videos from XMOS and our community.
We hope to see some of you there in the near future! Spread the word!
Update:
If you are addicted to social networks such as Digg, Facebook, or Twitter (I have seen a number of you about on these already!), you can now share any page of XCore.com instantly on these networks in just 2 clicks!
Let your friends know what you have created and get them to provide feedback or rate your projects. Simply ensure you are signed in, and then use the "share page" button on the left of the notification bar at the bottom of the screen. Easy!
Update 2:
We now support better Twitter integration on your user profiles. If you now go to edit your profile, under the "about you" tab you can now specify your Twitter user name.
This is worth doing if you want any of the following:
Automatic integration with your profile:
- Links to your twitter profile in the about you section in addition to your website if you have one.
- Creates a twitter feed widget on your profile to promote your latest 10 tweets to viewers of your profile
Update 3:
Following requests from our community members we now also support the ability to specify your IRC username in your profile on XCore.com so others can find you on there. See more details about how to connect to the official XCore.com channel above.
So go update your profile to better integrate your on-line life and get a bit more social!
