USB on Tile 0 on XUF212

Post by xaerox »

Hello together,
I'm planning a new schematic using USB-Audio on tile 0 und the XUF212-Chip (TQ128-Package).

Reading the datasheet of this processor I can see, that the internatl Flash is connected to X0D04...X0D07 (4B) and X0D10 (1C) and X0D01 (1B).
Using USB on tile 0 we would also use the Ports connected to X0D04...X0D07 but using the internal 8A-Ports.

I'm feeling a little bit uneasy.
Would you say, that it works?

Did anybody realized USB on Tile 0 on an XUF212/XUF216 processor?

Best regards
Thomas

According to this thread is should be possible since the xuf232 and 216 are virtually identical with tiles 0 and 1: https://www.xcore.com/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=7594
If you have a board with the XUF212 chip on it, you could try and load the USB Mouse demo in that thread and see if it works, just a thought.

I'm unsure how it'll work with the Internal Flash though. I took a look at other chips xn files and I didn't run across any examples that had USB on the same tile as the QSPI. I did find one example with a regular SPI on tile 0 which uses ports 1A,1B,1C, and 1D, but the USB phy didn't use any of them (xp-skc-u16-audio.xn).
