It's not one of the very early ones, so I've no idea of its provenance.

Not that it's any of my business but I'd feel much more comfortable knowing what competition you won it in!

I couldn't found the competition itself but I managed to find the documents.
The invoice (dated 22. Oct. 08, uups that long ?!) was issued by Charlotte Watts, XMOS Ltd. , Bristol, UK.
Statement there: The equipment was a prize in a competition run by XMOS Ltd...

I still do not need that kit.

Kind regards

Dietmar

You could put it on Ebay, or, give it away to a deserving cause, like me. :D

Leon would use the hell out of it, that I'm sure of.
If you do give to causes, give it to Leon. He'll be
your friend for life, that cat. :P

@shawn: I'll give you a nickel for that NeXT. If it turns on - I'll add a shiny ruble too :)

What are the markings on the chip? This will give some more information....

I think I can shed some light on this...

We ran a competition during Q2 2008 through EPN magazine. We gave away 3 XDKs and they would have been pretty early versions. They superseded their predecessor the TEK which was a much bigger beast.

Definitely worth having a look at the chip markings though to make sure it's a revision of silicon that is supported by the tools.

I thought the tools still supported all versions of released silicon?

If not, there are presumably old versions of the tools still available for download that do?
