Each node is a 72 MHz ARM, which doesn't have anything like the performance of an XS1-L1. Someone mentioned XMOS on the blog.

ARM machines and Intel winces.
It surely can't compare to an XK-1.
look around there's a lot of bot boards.
Its fits well in multipleo bots, and LP devices.
Illuminati inside for your kid's, thats "Great!".
Is not anything sacred anymore, "Geeeze!".

Looked pretty cool, but I think that's about it. The Illuminato X Machina is a cool idea, that people might play with for a while or perhaps use in research, while the XK-1 is more of a finished product that can be used immediately in commercial products or prototypes.

Though, you ought to put a tricolor led on the XK-1 too :)

i think you could make a nice (compact) replacement for a volume level (VU) led-bar with one RGB LED :))

it would be nice, but how to implement peak indication?

White? It could go through a range of colours indicating the level. One red LED could be used with the level indicated by flash rate.

Have it speak Morse code, that is, short very short synonymic points.
Color would determine mode. then you could have it throb between
colors at differing rates all from one fine LED. ; )
