XMOS' target audience?

I figured I'd create a new thread 'logical xCORE' for this question:
What is the core market XMOS is going after? While the new website eludes that it's to consolidate multiple devices into a single XMOS chip, I can't help but feel XMOS is also trying to court the hobbyist market ( cutesy stop-motion clip, poppy colors, etc )
