schematic review: minimal XE216-512-TQ128 board

Post by mst »

Hey,

for a project of mine (a USB audio interface), I have adapted the xCORE 200 eXplorer schematic as included in xCORE-200-explorerKIT-Hardware-Manual%281.2%29.pdf as best as I could.

Contrary to the eXplorer kit, my design is USB bus-powered, and contains a bunch fewer components. I will be using the XEF216 variant of the chip with built-in flash, so there is no external flash in my design.

As this is my first XMOS design, I would appreciate it a lot if someone could review my attached schematic and point out any issues.

Thank you very much in advance,

Hi. See section 8 of the datasheet for the XEF216 for the following details:

Missing 1k PU on X0D01 to force the boot from the internal flash inside the XEF216 CPU.

Yes, otherwise you can't boot from internal flash.

Thanks for pointing this out! This is now fixed.

The rest is okay, I assume? :)
