XMOS Usb Audio2 Interface : Probe failed message on linux

Post by vibhav »

Hello,

When i try connecting XMOS Usb Audio2 Interface(XR-USB-Audio-2.0-MC) to my linux system(Ubuntu 10.04), i get probe failed message in dmesg

The log is as follows:

[27618.396049] usb 1-7: new high speed USB device using ehci_hcd and address 21
[27618.529445] usb 1-7: configuration #1 chosen from 2 choices
[27618.530045] invalid HEADER
[27618.530065] snd-usb-audio: probe of 1-7:1.0 failed with error -5
[27618.531048] 21:1:1 : invalid FORMAT_TYPE desc

Firmware i have flashed is USB-Audio-2.0-XS1-L2-Software-Release(5.3)[11.2.0].

Both the XMOS XTAG and XMOS Audio board are listed when i type command lsusb.

If anyone could give me some pointers it would be very helpful.

Thanks,
Vibhav

There are some other threads regarding this on this forum. I believe the issue is that alsa does not support the mixer topology in the descriptors.
