If you like me were interested in the Beagleboard (I own an original) then you may like the beagleboard orgs latest move BeagleBone what a great form factor at last. So just imagine what could be possible by adding an Xmos daughter board for it - Xmos Cape? :twisted:

That is a good example of how to make low priced PCB even with BGAs.
Do you know the production batch size? The Hawkboard was 3000 cards / batch, but the old Beagle was bigger.
Probably not the most confused programmer anymore on the XCORE forum.

Yes they are talking about BGA 0.8mm spacing and no chip-on-chip memory which makes things much simpler and those Cortex A8 AM335x chips are about $5 in volume about half the price of an L2, I think this could really move the dial for T.I.
