Yup, already got all that.

The XC-1 comes without external SPI to boot from and the demos are buned into the OTP. It is configured to boot from this code in OTP. I read in the forums that there is a hack to stop it doing this and enable it to boot from external SPI. The fourm unfortunately failed to say what the hack was.....

A combination of this and this should get you where you need to go for the XC-1 SPI boot conversion (note: not needed for XC-1A)

On two occasions I have been asked, 'Pray, Mr. Babbage, if you put into the machine wrong figures, will the right answers come out?' I am not able rightly to apprehend the kind of confusion of ideas that could provoke such a question.
