XTAG3 issue

Post by lmariotti »

I've recently purchased an xcore-200 eXplorer kit and I'm trying to run the AN00155_explorer_gpio but I'm having constantly Error: F03136 No devices attached - Cannot run the enquirer until a device is found

From XTC Tools:
ID Name Adapter ID Devices
-- ---- ---------- -------
0 XMOS XTAG-3 SU3MGNRT O[0]

Here my specs:
  • windows10 x64
  • xTime Composer Studio Version: Community_14.4.1 (build 235-acbb966, Dec-01-2019)
  • XTC Tools 15.1.4
Here my connections:

How can I fix this?

Thanks for your support.

You can change the platform to vm machine to give it a try.

Your laptop may not be providing enough current to power the board, even though the LED is lit. Do you have a suitable 5V supply you can use instead?

I've tried with a vm machine and also with a Win7 x64 pc but nothing changed;

Also plugghing the device in a AC/DC 5V phone charger the problem still occour;

The command prompt screenshot is for v14 tools. What about v15 tools?

With XTC Tools 15.1.4 windows assign to xTAG3 the winusb.sys drivers instead of libusb0.sys (as suggested from XMOS support), anyway I gaved it a shot:

Sometimes after some plug in and out and some diver re-install I'm able to get at the same condition also with v14.4.1 tools:

but in many cases if I run the xrun -l command many times in a row the device is detected only first time, each successive execution result in No Available Devices Found (even if from windows device manager everything seems to be ok) and keep running the xrun -l doesn't fix this;

Update: As soon as I plug in the xTAG3 I'm able to run the xflash command (v14 tools) but I'm always getting the error: F03013
