Can XK-1 boards be purchased separate of XJTAG?

I'm relaunching this post, as I have the same question. XK-1 boards can be stacked, and these boards can be reused as is on other main boards in final products, so I don't see why we can't have them alone.
I can't see myself having to resell nnn JTAGs on ebay.

This bothers me too (infact, I started a post with pretty much the same concerns last night). I'd be interested in hearing the "official" line :).
