XTAG FTDI pins connected

Post by Ganux »

Hello,

I ordered an XMOS XC-3 development kit.
Now I am trying to test the UART (app_uart_example v1.1).
But, I can't get this working.

Now, i saw on my XTAG that pins 3 & 4 (VCC & RESET) and pins 30 & 31 (VCCIOB & BCBUS7) are soldered together. Is this normal, or is this an error in the production process.

Greetings,
Ganux

Hi Ganux,

To clarify things for you:
XTAG pins 3 & 4 (VCC & RESET) should be connected together.
XTAG pins 30 & 32 (VCCIOB & BDBUS7) should be connected together.
XTAG pins 30 & 31 (VCCIOB & BCBUS0) should not be connected together.

Kind Regards,
Corin

You mean pin 31 & 32 to be connected?
otherwise they should be connected on the PCB.

I checked the schematics and there it's pins 31(VCCIOB) & 32(BDBUS7) both going tho VDD-3V3.
Pin 30 (BCBUS0) not being connected.
