Voltage output port

Post by japus »

Hello

My question is actually very short and easy but I can't find the answer.
Can an output port on a XC-1A also provide a negative voltage?
I need to control a motor with my XC-1A, and I've found a circuit that can do that but it won't work if I can't get a negative signal. To make the motor rotate forward, I need to send a positive signal, to make it rotate backwads, it needs a negative signal.

Thanks,

Jasper Maes

No the chip itself cannot.

Normally you need to use a H-Bridge driver for a bidirectional motor

the XC1a signals can the be sent to control the bridge driver.

Thanks.
I'll look into that.
