Solder bridges... yes, they are a problem. I didn't know how to avoid them, I didn't know it was the tip... I'll have to look for one for my soldering iron, because I do only have a round one.

With the mini-hoof cartridge I hardly ever get them. If I do they are easy to remove by cleaning the tip, applying it to the bridge, and withdrawing it along the leads. The excess solder is sucked into the depression in the tip. Some extra flux helps.

Bridges at the end of a row are avoided by withdrawing the tip along the leads when you get to the end, as above, instead of continuing in the same direction across them.
