Converting from XU208 to XUF208

Post by jmag99 »

Can a design be changed from an XU part to and XUF part by simply omitting the quad spi flash part? Are there any other changes required? I am unable to find stock of the XU parts anywhere and have found that Digikey has the XUF version of the part.

Yes but a 1K pull-up resistor is required on X0D01 pin (#CS of the QSPI flash) to inform the XUF device to boot from this internal flash.

Please do review the datasheet for the XUF device.

On the stock position, have you checked with Future Electronics? In the past, we have found them to be very competitive on most of the XMOS devices and they may have stock as well:

From a quick search - they also have in stock the XUF208 device.
