thermal pad XS1-L1 64 pins

Post by In_Control001 »

Hi guys,

SomeOne Knows how many Watts an XS1-L1 64 pins disipates.

I need this to design my board. I want to use 2 XS1-L1's on both side of my board.

Kind regards,
Jo

Probably not the most confused programmer anymore on the XCORE forum.

Tnx lilltroll... It's ok for the terminal pads to attached to GND?

The big pad in centre of the chip (as opposed to the pins around the edge of the chip) MUST be connected to ground. It is the only digital ground connection (check the datasheet for 'PADDLE').

In addition to making the ground connection it does offer a low thermal resistance path to a ground plane. The L1 runs pretty cool though.
