XMOS StartKIT driver installation failure

Post by nickn »

Upon upgrading to the latest version of xTIMEcomposer (13.1.0), a re-install of the drivers for the StartKIT was required. However, the driver installation failed (Windows driver installation failure message and xTIMEcomposer could not find the startKIT.) Does anybody have a link to the drivers for it? I'm running Windows 7 64 bit.

EDIT:I had to install version 13.0.2 and everything is working again so it looks like as long as I keep the older version 13.0.2 installed everything works fine including version 13.1.0.

It appears that I spoke too soon. Upon disconnecting and reconnecting the startKIT after I installed the older version and then trying to run a program it prompts a driver installation which fails.
The message I get upon trying to run the program:

"xrun: No available devices"

EDIT: Going back to 13.0.2 I was getting the same message but after a disconnect/reconnect of the device it's working again. Strange.

So to sum it all up:
I install version 13.1.0 with the startKIT connected.
I use the startKIT just fine.
I reconnect the startKIT.
A driver installation starts and fails and I get the message "xrun: No available devices"
I close 13.1.0 and go to 13.0.2.
I still the the message "xrun: No available devices"
I reconnect the startKIT
It's working fine again under 13.0.2.
