352k and 384k on Windows

Post by ChrisW »

Hardware: custom board based on XS1-L1 USB Audio 2.0 dev kit
Firmware: USB Audio v6.5.1 compiled with custom VID/PID and MAX_FREQ=384000
OS: Windows XP with Thesycon driver v2.22

I'm trying to get 352k and 384k sample rates working with the above configuration. So far as I can tell, ASIO works fine (using the ASIO plugin in foobar) but any application using WaveOut or DirectSound is unable to open the output at rates above 192k.

Is this a Windows API limitation or a Thesycon driver issue? Or am I doing something wrong?

BTW 352/384k also work on OSX, but occasionally cause the Mac to crash.
