Oh well...

What kind of pre-amps do we need? Is there any standard recommendation for XS1-L2?

XMOS ref design boards are provided as a reference for people to use as a basis to design their own designs/products. Selection of DAC/ADC's amps etc typically vary greatly from product to product and the choice is left to the designer based on their specific product requirements. XMOS therefore make no recommendations of such items.
