I am into the micro controllers field from past 8 years, i worked on different architectures like 8051, ARM, AVR & PIC. I have been working on XK1 board from past few days, i personally feel this is one of the best architecture i have ever worked.
Basically our company deals with LED display systems in which we use FPGA's to control the LED tile/panel. By considering awesome multi thread performance of XMOS, we are planning to place XS1-L1 controller in place of FPGA.
My heart full greets to XMOS core team.
Hello to the new Micro World

Yeah I got the XC-3 kit but i didn't get a chance to work on it.
In our existing display system we use LVDS for data communication. By compatibility with the old system & cost factors we are fixed with XS1-L1. Of course we have plans for using XS1-G4 device in the next display system model and other couple of projects.

It can support up to 1024x768 resolution. Each tile size depends on the pitch. We have various formats of pitch from 20mm to 4mm. Right now i am working on 9mm display tile its resolution is 32x24.
