Some really interesting comments in the discussion... would be great to try to reconnect the generation of transputer users with message-passing concurrency - ie with XMOS. Perhaps worth some comments on the thread from anyone interested?
Obviously I'll stay out because there's just a teeny weeny chance I might be perceived to be biased.
